Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Tutorika is a lesson management platform for private tutors based in Brazil. We process data in compliance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD — Law No. 13,709/2018).

2. Data we collect

• Tutors: name, email, WhatsApp number, and account settings.
• Students: name, WhatsApp number (required for access), and email (optional).
• Usage: access logs, in-platform actions, and scheduling data.

3. How we use your data

• To operate the platform (scheduling, reminders, confirmations).
• For authentication via magic link through WhatsApp or email.
• For customer support.
• For service communications (never for third-party marketing).

4. Data sharing and international transfer

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. We use the following essential service providers to operate the platform, each under a confidentiality agreement and processing only the data needed for its function:

• Twilio (USA) — WhatsApp messaging.
• Resend (USA) — transactional email delivery.
• Pagar.me (Brazil) — subscription payment processing.
• Sentry (USA) — technical error monitoring, with no name, email, or IP attached.
• Cloudflare (USA) — hosting and protection of the institutional website.

Some of these providers are based outside Brazil, which involves international data transfer. This transfer relies on contractual safeguards requiring a level of protection compatible with the LGPD (Art. 33), limited to the minimum necessary to provide the service.

5. Retention and deletion

We retain data for as long as needed to operate the service. You can delete your account at any time, directly from the platform settings — anonymization of your data (and your students' data, for tutors) happens immediately, with no waiting period. After deletion, we retain only the minimum information required by law (e.g. tax records), where applicable.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your data; withdraw consent; and request information about how your data is processed. Tutors can export their data and delete their account under Settings → Profile; students can do the same from the settings area of the student portal — both actions are immediate and require no prior request. 7. Security

We use TLS encryption in transit, JWT authentication, no password storage, and role-based access control.

8. Data Protection Officer (DPO)
